Over 300 Open Golf Competitions now Listed throughout Yorkshire!!

Our website is proving a real hit with both local golfers and golf clubs alike throughout Yorkshire as there are now over 300 open golf competitions listed on this website.

Golf clubs all over the region who have elected to have their events listed are delighted as they have noticed a marked increase in the number of entrants, despite it still being a few weeks away from the start of the golf season proper. The fact that, unlike other open competition websites, it is totally free to have their events listed has also proved to be a big hit.

Local golfers are equally as happy because they now have a great resource for finding golf events in the county and can easily search for their chosen events by category eg: Mixed, Senior, Ladies, Scratch, Junior, Pairs and Team events. They no longer have to contact clubs on an individual basis or trawl through the traditional competitions folder in the clubhouse, as entry forms are available online and just a click away.

The most popular feature is where golfers can submit their email address to be notified when any new events from their chosen category are added to the website.

Click HERE to go straight to our Open Golf Competition section or alternatively sign-up to our Open Competition Updates and be notified when new events are added..

Huddersfield Golf Duo Grab Impressive Alliance Win

Huddersfield Golf pair Toby Garrett and Chris Hanson blazed their way to victory in the Halifax, Huddersfield Alliance at Bradley Hall earlier this week.

The two local golfers, who have both recently conducted exclusive interviews for this website and will be writing monthly columns, totaled 43 points to snatch victory by a single point from three other teams.

Hanson was in superb form with 5 birdies and plenty of other missed opportunities. Garrett commented, "Chris played superb and despite a couple of putts he could have shot 9 under himself." He added, "It feels good to have finally won an alliance, we have tried our hardest in all the Alliance's but have never come out on top, so hopefully we can build on this win and go on and win again when we play together at Outlane."

The Am-Am section was much closer where Elland pair Martin Greenwood and Steve King took the honours virtue of a better back-six card countback after sharing a total of 47 points with two other pairings.
