The
local transport which serves Outlane golf club perhaps
makes it more accessible and hence more appealing to
many people than other golf clubs in the district. The
bus service which visits Outlane village through
Huddersfield is certainly the easiest way to get to
the club, and it is certainly well worth a look.
Constructed over
semi-moorland, part-wooded ground, and with some
stunningly scenic panoramic views to absorb as you
play your way round the course, it measures 6100
yards, and provides eighteen demanding holes that the
average amateur will find tough, challenging, but
ultimately vastly rewarding if they are played and
considered properly. Non-members are welcome every day
except Saturday, when the course is busiest hosting
competitions.
