One
of the shorter courses in Yorkshire, do not be put off
by Longley Park Golf Club's length as it is still a fine golf
course with plenty of challenges to test every shot in
your bag. Only a nine-hole course, it measures just
5212 yards when played as an eighteen-hole, but the
par of 66 is a good indication that it is by no means
as straightforward as it sounds.
Watch out in
particular for the greens as they play particularly
fast and true and are mainly well-guarded. The
fairways are also quite narrow and tight, so you need
to be accurate off the tee and have good knowledge of
your clubs if you are to avoid falling into the many
traps that await you. |
