About Huddersfield Golf

Huddersfield Golf was set up in late 2004 to provide golfers in the Huddersfield area with a website to keep them up-to-date with all the latest golfing activity from the area.

Administered by a couple of golf enthusiasts Huddersfield Golf is the local golfing website which brings you all the latest news and features from the Huddersfield and surrounding area.

We regularly publish golf news and stories from clubs within the Huddersfield, Halifax and District Union including competition results, fixtures, achievements of local golfers, both amateur and professional, as well as other relevant and interesting news.

An extensive list of open golf competitions that are hosted at golf courses within the region is also held on the site. Online entry forms are available for each golf tournament so that potential competitors can print off and enter events easily.

Our website keeps you up-to-date with all the news, results and fixtures from the HHDUGC including the Handicap, Scratch and Junior leagues, foursomes and team matches.

We are very proud to have a number of contributors to the website including Tour Players, a Golf Psychologist, a Golf Course Architect, a number of senior golf officials from the area and even the current Captain of the PGA. This hopefully keeps the content fresh and interesting for our readers.

A section is also dedicated to The Yorkshire Order of Merit which is a series of scratch golf competitions played throughout Yorkshire. A number of local golfers compete in these and our site provides entry forms as well as reports and results from each event.

Visitors to the Huddersfield area from outside the region will find our golf course review and accommodation sections useful for planning their golfing trip to the area. They will also find detailed information about each golf club in the locality from club officials to the history of the club.

Other sections of our site contain information about golf equipment, driving ranges, tuition, membership information and much more. Finally, our ever popular Guess The Course feature is regularly updated with an aerial photograph of a local golf course which readers try and guess which course is pictured!
