"A very fine course which in many cases is often spoilt by the snobbery of many of the members. Very easy to feel alone as nobody will speak to you unless you are in the clique.
18th fairway is a delight."

"Played the course twice in a week i enjoyed it so much!  The standard of the greens and fairways was excellent considering the recent adverse wet weather.  I would recommend the course to any keen golfer.  A lovely mixture of moorland and heathland with many trees along the way too!  You'll enjoy the 18th, i did, i made eagle to beat my mates on the back nine!"

"I think the greens are amazing since they have been redone, i also think that if you aren't a long hitter you will struggle as the 5th needs long accurate drivers to be able to par it."

"Excellent championship course, on of the best in the north of England.  The holes are beautifully laid out, provide a real challenge and the scenery is lovely. The front nine is the most difficult of the two halves and it is on the last nine where you can make your score with a couple of reachable par 5's

"Greens are newly laid and putt very true and can get extremely quick in summer. The clubhouse is massive and very old but very well maintained. Best course in the area by a mile"
