With the traditional British climate, especially in Northern England, April is generally regarded as the start of the season. The Masters is screened on TV and the urge to get back out on the golf course is surfacing. Many golfers dust off their clubs for the first time in the year and there is a much better offering of open events than the previous months of the year.
